Clinical trials are studies that evaluate the effectiveness
and safety of new medications or devices. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requires
vigorous efforts by the sponsor company (i.e. pharmaceutical companies, device
manufacturers) and investigators, such as the physicians at Idaho Urologic
Institute, to provide accurate and quality data, while practicing under the
guidelines of Good Clinical
Practice (GCP), to determine if an investigational medication or device
should be approved for marketing. The advancement of medicine is
dependent upon clinical trials and the participation of patients who live each
day with the diseases and illnesses that plague our country. For more information regarding our current trials, please call our Clinical Research Coordinator at 639-4938 or email svail@idurology.com or our Research Assistant at 639-4884 or email tmartin@idurology.com. |
